This video covers an action packed day trip from Tbilisi, taking in some of the most historical and ancient landscapes in Georgia. Uplistsikhe, Gori and Mtskheta all in just 8 hours!First we explore the ancient rock-cut cave city of Uplistsikhe and the awe-inspiring Chronicles of Georgia (Georgia's Stonehenge). We also learn about the Christian roots of Georgia, visiting Jvari Monastery and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral where the robe of Jesus is said to be buried.We also visit Gori, the home of Stalin, visit the Museum and even see his private train carriage. The weather turned against us in Mtskheta, but we still got to see a little of this holy city.Oh and somwehere along the way there was some wine tasting. A pretty incredible day. All of this in just 3 days!First, I show you the sites of the laid-back capital city of Ljubljana. From the iconic Dragon Bridge to taking the funicular up to the historic Ljubljana Castle for panoramic city views. I'll tell you why Slovenia love their dragons, explore the beautiful Ljubljana Cathedral, and explore the alternative, street-art-filled commune of Metelkova Mesto.Next, we head to Lake Bled, one of the most picturesque alpine lakes in Europe! We ride a traditional wooden Pletna boat to Bled Island to ring the famous wishing bell at the Church of the Assumption, hike up to the 1011-year-old medieval Bled Castle perched on a cliff, and walk the stunning 6 km circumference path before trying the legendary Bled Cream Cake.Finally, we head underground to explore Postojna Cave, one of the world's largest karst cave systems, home to rare "baby dragons" (aquatic olm salamanders).
