Amubuluwawa tower sits atop a mountain more than 3500ft above sea level. You can climb right to the top by following a 1000 step external staircase. The staircase gets narrower and narrower as you go up with just a small handrail for safety. It's probably not for those scared of heights, which includes me! But the views are truly spectactular, so I decided to face my fears and put myself to the test and see how high I could climb!More Sri Lanka videos coming soon. My Top CUBA Travel Tips – What to Know Before You Go!
On this day tour I explore the Kakheti wine region in eastern Georgia! We visit the historic hilltop town of Sighnaghi, known as the "City of Love", and explore ancient monasteries like David Gareja and Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino. There's also the incredible views of the Alazani Valley and the colorful Rainbow Mountains to take in. Oh , and of course— I get to taste some incredible Georgian food (khachapuri and churchkhela), traditional qvevri wine and topped off with some chacha. :)It's a packed itinerary but it makes a great day tour from Tbilisi and one of the most beautiful and popular regions to visit in Georgia. Visiting the Kazbegi mountains makes for an amazing day trip from Tbilisi, Georgia. In just one day you can see the incredible Gergeti Trinity Church that sits amongst the mountains and gives you an incredible view of Mount Kazbek. Take in more breathtaking views at the Russia-Georgia Friendship monument, and Rooms Kazbegi in Stepantsminda, where you can also get a great lunch!Also squeezed into this tour is a visit to the Ananuri Fortress, the site of many historic battles, and the nearby Zhinvali Reservoir, which is an Instagram dream, with turquoise water and a rolling mountains backdrop.It's a long day but an incredible experience.
